Today, a team of experts from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization-UNIDO held a meeting with the Industrial Control Authority (ICA). Major General Abd-ElRaouf Ahmady the Executive Chairman of “ICA” and Dr.Gihan Bayoumi the National Programme Officer at UNIDO attended the meeting and led conversations around; policy recommendations generated through “Egyptian Programme for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” to facilitate the deployment of Energy Efficient motors in the industrial sector to support the Ministerial decree #463, developing the local manufacturing of Electric Driven Motors, along with building the capacity of local rewinding shops for motors. Untapped potential collaborations between “Egyptian Programme for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” and ICA have been discussed in order to be utilized and optimized in the near future.
