United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) collaboratively with Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (Sidpec) launches a kick off meeting to a new peer-to-peer networking partnership aiming to foster energy efficiency and renewable energy in the petrochemical and plastic industries on the 30th of May 2022. This initiative has taken place within the framework of “The Egyptian Program for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” that is being powered by UNIDO in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and is being funded by The Global Environment Facility. The Kick-off meeting that was being held by UNIDO and Sidpec as a partial fulfillment of the project’s efforts to diffuse its spiraling efforts to provide technical assistance and boost awareness across the Egyptian industrial’s sectors on the gained benefits of elevating the industrial motors’ efficiency like improving production, attaining a competitive edge, saving costs and more. The meeting was comprised of the petrochemicals, plastic and other sector’s key industrial leaders, consulting companies and local consultant engineers in the “Nile Ritz Carlton”.
