Within the framework of the “Egyptian Programme for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” which is implemented by UNIDO and funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) in close collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry represented by the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) and the Egyptian National Cleaner Production Center (ENCPC), the second meeting for the policy working group was held in the IMC premises on the 28th of June 2021.

The working group was comprised of representatives from relevant stakeholders including decision makers, the banking sector and the private sector working to prepare the legal and regulatory environment through overlooking and guiding the development of the operational policy tools and guidelines for energy-efficient motors early on. The working group members discussed IEE institutional and legislative framework, assessed the IEE market, & proposed policies and measures.
