On the 23rd of February 2022, UNIDO in collaboration with Ain Shams University (faculty of engineering) kicked off the 6th EnMs “Energy Management System Training” tailored to be catered for youth, to widen potential energy practitioners’ horizons by gaining access to real time and future network status.

The training worked to achieve this through enabling participants to fully comprehend the key concepts of effective and advanced energy management system. The training lasted 3 days to sufficiently provide guidance on implementing the principles of the ISO 50001: 2018 standard to guarantee the constant enhancement of energy performance to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

This training was conducted by UNIDO’s local consultant Eng.Rabab Manee who has also set an exemplary inspiration for young female energy researchers and students who aspire to penetrate the job market in the energy sector. 60 Students attended the training session that tackled a number of vital topics including Energy Performance Measurements and Indicators (EnPIs), Energy Management tools and the Energy Management System guide.
