On the 23rd of March 2022, UNIDO in collaboration with Cairo University (faculty of engineering) kicked off an “Energy Management System Training” for 3 ongoing days, tailored to be catered for youth, to widen potential energy practitioners’ horizons.

The training worked to achieve this through enabling participants to fully comprehend the key concepts of effective and advanced energy management system. The training lasted for 3 days to sufficiently provide guidance on implementing the principles of the ISO 50001: 2018 standard to guarantee the constant enhancement of energy performance to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

This training was conducted by UNIDO’s local consultant Eng.Rabab Manee. 175 Students attended the training session that tackled a number of vital topics including Energy Performance Measurements and Indicators as well as Energy Management tools.
