Within the framework of the “Egyptian Programme for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” which is implemented by UNIDO and funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) in close collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, a third webinar aiming to raise awareness about the vitality of energy-efficient motors in the industrial sector and pinpoint potential saving opportunities in industrial motor driven systems while knowing their economic and technical feasibility aspects, was conducted today 20^th of October. The webinar was comprised of 11 suppliers in the industrial sector. The attendees had the opportunity of knowing the best and most common practices for saving opportunities that fit the Egyptian industrial sector through on ground experiences with more than 200 manufacturing plants. The webinar also raised awareness about the entities that provide “Green Financing” and can facilitate investments in energy efficient motors through partial grants or competitive loans. Last but not least, the webinar also delivered a descriptive explanation of the Minister of Trade and Industry’s decree # 463/2020 that encourages the Egyptian industrial sector to use energy-efficient motors.
